Material Handler / Processor

Job Descriptions We are a fast-paced, national Company looking for Material Handlers/Sorters/Processors at our Ft. Worth location. This Employee will report to the operations manager or supervisor of their assigned department on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will be someone with good communication skills, and willingness to work towards accomplishing tasks as a team. Qualifications: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in a team environment. Organization, and detail oriented is a plus. Forklift experience, or willingness to learn how to operate a forklift is preferred. Responsibilities: Unloading of materials from trucks and containers as they arrive, sorting and storing materials according to category and size. Loading material into the recycling system, removing cardboard and broken debris from the work area, operating the cardboard compactor, shears, presses and lamp machinery. Duties include: sealing, replacing and transporting waste containers. Maintain the operation areas, filter room, drum room, yard, office and restrooms in a clean, healthful and safe manner. Abides by all LRI environmental, safety and corporate policies. Assists in immediate and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment/facility as directed. Making repairs, replacing parts and making adjustments to assure maximum production performance (these skills can be learned on the job). Alerts Supervisor or Management of any issues pertaining to the job. Performs other duties as required and assigned by the Shift Supervisor, Operations Manager or Branch Manager.
