SUMMARY: Supports manufacturing operations through material handling, component preparation, labeling/RFID activities, quality inspection, rework/teardown, and grinding/shredding assignments. This role is designed for employees who can be trained quickly in standardized work and safely perform assigned tasks with limited prior manufacturing experience. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform assigned material handling work in accordance with standard work, safety requirements, and supervisor direction. Falcon Project: press/install GPS tracking units, insert RFID tags, and apply barcode labels as required. Rack Filler: fill fiberglass rod racks with the required green and gray rods; maintain reserve/rotation racks so they are ready to be moved to the production cell. Labeling/RFID Station: manually insert RFID tags; verify proper labeling and completion of RFID encoding, including automated labeling/encoding processes. Quality support: visually inspect pallets for obvious defects and scan pallets in the system as assigned. Shredder/Grinder: safely operate grinding/shredding equipment and process rejected pallets, unibodies, and sheets according to established procedures. Rejected Pallet Teardown: manually remove/recover fiberglass rods and GPS tracking units from rejected pallets and segregate recovered materials appropriately. Move, stage, organize, and maintain production materials and work areas as assigned. Complete required production, material, quality, or traceability records accurately. Maintain housekeeping/6S expectations and comply with all PPE, machine-safety, and plant safety requirements. Perform other related production-support duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Some manufacturing experience required for many assignments; ability to learn through demonstration, hands-on training, and standard work. Basic ability to follow verbal and written work instructions and identify part/label differences. Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a production team. Basic computer/scanner use preferred for RFID, labeling, scanning, and traceability assignments. Experience with grinders/shredders or industrial equipment is preferred for those assignments but may be trained on the job. CORE COMPETENCIES: Safety-first behavior and compliance with all plant policies, PPE requirements, and authorized work practices. Consistent attendance, punctuality, dependability, teamwork, and respectful workplace conduct. Ability to learn and follow standard work, respond to supervisor direction, and report unsafe, abnormal, or nonconforming conditions promptly. Maintain work area organization and housekeeping/5S standards. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Regular standing and walking throughout the shift; frequent reaching, handling, bending, and repetitive hand use. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials within established plant/job limits; heavier or awkward items must be handled using team lifts or mechanical assistance as required. Shredder/grinder and pallet-teardown assignments involve greater manual handling and repetitive physical work. Ability to safely work around moving equipment and wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and other task-specific PPE. Work is performed primarily indoors in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, temperature variation, moving equipment, and industrial processes. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Physical requirements should be validated by HR/EHS for the final approved job description and should reflect the actual essential functions of the assignment.
