Material Handler/Kitter - 1st Shift
Bentley weldingDescription: About Bentley Mission Critical Bentley Mission Critical manufactures factory-built infrastructure for the world’s most demanding data centers. From our ISO 9001:2015 certified facility in Greeley, Colorado, we engineer, fabricate, and test complete modular data center systems — pre-integrating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a controlled factory environment to deliver projects 30–50% faster than traditional construction. Our customers include hyperscale, AI/GPU compute, colocation, and enterprise data center operators. We don’t build projects — we manufacture products, and we do it quality-driven, on time, every time. We are growing fast, and our people are the reason. This role exists to make sure that as we scale, we stay a place where skilled, motivated people want to build their careers. Position Summary The Material Handler/Kitter ensures the production line never stops by proactively replenishing kanban bins, staging accurate kits, and delivering the correct parts to the correct station before they are needed. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, dimensional verification, and disciplined organization to prevent shortages, mixed parts, or production delays. Performance Expectations No production station runs out of parts due to missed replenishment. Every part in every kit is correct and verified. Kits are complete, labeled, and staged before needed. Low stock and missing parts are communicated immediately. Storage areas remain organized and labeled for quick retrieval. Core Standard: The Material Kitter is the supply line for production. Accuracy and proactive replenishment are non-negotiable. When in doubt, stop and verify. 1st Shift Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm Key Responsibilities Kanban Replenishment Monitor kanban bins, part carts, and staging areas continuously throughout the shift. Respond immediately to kanban signals and replenish parts before production is impacted. Maintain knowledge of each station’s standard quantities and replenishment triggers. Adjust replenishment frequency during high-volume periods. Never leave a bin empty without initiating replenishment and notifying the lead. Parts Identification & Dimensional Verification Identify parts using kitting lists, BOMs, part numbers, and physical descriptions. Measure parts using tape measures, calipers, or squares to verify dimensions. Confirm markings, tags, and labels match kitting documents. Reject and quarantine incorrect or out-of-spec parts. Never mix parts from different jobs or sizes. Kit Building & Staging Build complete, accurate kits with all required parts verified. Stage kits logically and clearly at the correct production station. Organize parts by assembly or subassembly sequence when applicable. Notify supervisors immediately when kits cannot be completed. Label all kits with job number, assembly name, and special instructions. Material Handling & Movement Move raw material, cut parts, and kits safely using approved equipment. Load/unload material without causing damage or hazards. Transport material between saw, storage, and production stations efficiently. Stack and secure material properly to prevent tipping or mixing. Return unused parts and remnants to correct storage locations. Inventory Awareness & Communication Report low inventory before shortages occur. Conduct periodic bin counts and compare to min/max levels. Assist with physical and cycle counts. Communicate part availability, shortages, and kit status clearly. Maintain a daily log or status board. Organization & Housekeeping Keep storage areas, racks, and kitting stations clean and labeled. Ensure all storage locations have clear part labels and min/max quantities. Remove trash and empty containers continuously. Maintain clear aisles and travel paths. Organize the kitting area for the next shift. Safety Wear required PPE at all times. Use proper lifting techniques and mechanical assists. Operate forklifts…
