Material Handler (Full-Time, Forklift Certified)

About us Rebel Cheese makes artisan plant-based cheese. We started in a home kitchen seven years ago, and now we ship nationwide to customers, retailers, and distributors and supply our own deli in New York. Everything we sell is made and shipped from our Austin facility, and this role keeps it moving. Five families work here together, and it feels like it. The role You'll keep product and materials moving through the whole facility. You'll receive ingredients and supplies, stage them for production, move finished product into cold storage, and get orders loaded out on time. When the line is waiting on something, or a truck is waiting on a pallet, it's on you to get it there. Our product is perishable, so speed and care count equally. You'll report to our Director of Operations and work alongside the production and fulfillment teams. What you'll do Receive inbound deliveries, check them against purchase orders, and flag shortages or damage Operate a forklift and pallet jack to unload, stage, and put away materials Move ingredients and packaging to the production floor so the line never waits Move finished product into refrigerated storage and rotate stock first-in, first-out Stage and load outbound wholesale and distribution orders Support fulfillment pick and pack during high-volume periods Keep the warehouse, cooler, and dock areas clean, organized, and food-safe Do cycle counts and keep inventory records accurate What you need Current forklift certification 1+ year in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing role Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for a full shift Comfortable working in refrigerated areas Available for a full-time schedule that includes some early mornings and Saturdays during peak season (November and December are our busiest months) Nice to have Food manufacturing or food-safe handling experience Experience with cold-chain or perishable product Familiarity with inventory or scheduling software The honest part This is physical work, and the pace picks up a lot in the holidays.
