Material Handler/Forklift Operator
Daigle Brothers IncWe are looking for a careful forklift operator to unload large structural steel from trailer shipments and stage the structural steel around our yard. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. Your job will involve driving outside in all weather conditions. The goal will be to ensure that steel material will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. Responsibilities Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places Verify material received and send accurate, signed packing slips to the office Locate and move steel as needed to feed various machines and workstations Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance and reporting repair needs to maintenance Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs Using Tekla ERP to record material Comply with company policies and legal guidelines Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities Must be able to be on your feet for 75% of the day and be able to bend, squat, twist and lift up to 50 pounds.
