Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Maintain and encourage a safe working environment and good housekeeping Load, unload and move material and products by hand or using basic material handling equipment Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking May be required to open containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials Responsible for fork lift checks Ensure compliance with Plant and Legislated safety guidelines Continuously monitor the organization and management of the storage yard and assist as deemed necessary Work as a Team Member in all situations Adhere to ISO/QS 9000 & TS16949 procedures Ensure work cells are equipped with correct quantities and types of containers, scrap bins, etc Back up shipping receiving as required Assist with Plant and yard housekeeping Apply FIFO (First in, First Out) rule to all materials Grade 12 Diploma Good English, written, verbal and oral skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care Extended health care On-site parking Work Location: In person
