Material Handler / Forklift Operator – Class A CDL

About the Position We are looking for a dependable and safety-conscious Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for moving, staging, loading, and organizing materials and finished products throughout our manufacturing and warehouse operations. The successful candidate will also hold a Class A CDL and will make deliveries an average of 1-2 days per week. The majority of the position will be spent working at our facility handling materials, operating forklifts, loading trucks, and supporting our production and shipping operations. Primary Responsibilities Material Handling & Forklift Operation Operate forklifts safely to move raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility and yard Load and unload trucks and trailers using forklifts and other material-handling equipment Stage materials and finished products for production and shipment Move finished goods and raw materials throughout the facility Organize inventory and maintain orderly storage areas Pull and stage customer orders for shipment Assist production employees with moving materials and components as needed Safely handle large, long, and bulky products Inspect materials for damage and report issues to supervisors Maintain accurate counts and help ensure products are staged correctly Keep the warehouse, production areas, and outdoor storage areas clean and organized Follow all company safety procedures when operating forklifts and handling materials Truck Loading & Shipping Prepare finished products for shipment Load products onto trucks and trailers safely and efficiently Properly position and secure products for transportation Verify orders against packing lists and shipping documentation Work closely with production and shipping personnel to ensure orders are complete and ready for delivery Inspect loads before trucks leave the facility Class A CDL Delivery Operate company vehicles requiring a Class A CDL when deliveries are needed Deliver products to customers and job sites Provide professional and courteous customer service Complete required delivery and DOT paperwork Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Follow all applicable DOT and company safety requirements Qualifications Required: Valid Class A CDL Forklift certification or previous forklift operating experience Good driving record Ability to safely operate a forklift around large and bulky materials Ability to safely load and unload trucks and trailers Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail Preferred: Previous warehouse or material-handling experience Manufacturing experience Experience loading commercial trucks or trailers Experience handling aluminum, steel, docks, boat lifts, or similar products Previous CDL delivery experience Experience using straps, chains, and other load-securement equipment Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
