Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Position Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient and timely movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods within a fast-paced production environment. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring materials are accurately stocked, staged, and delivered to the appropriate areas, and assists in inventory control and documentation. Key Responsibilities: Load, unload, and transport materials to and from production areas and warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manually as needed. Supply production lines with required materials to prevent downtime and ensure continuous operations. Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels. Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and report damages or shortages. Maintain proper labeling and organization of inventory in storage areas for easy identification and retrieval. Follow First-In, First-Out (FIFO) or other inventory management practices. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards. Complete required documentation for material movement and inventory tracking in ERP/WMS systems. Communicate effectively with production, warehouse, and quality control teams. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. 1–2 years of experience in material handling, warehousing, or a production-related role preferred. Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification required). Basic computer and data entry skills; experience with ERP or inventory management systems a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods. Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
