Your Role: The Material Handler supports daily production by staging components, supplying packaging materials, verifying part number/labels, and moving finished goods. This role helps ensure product quality, accurate documentation and safe, efficient line flow in accordance with company policies, safety requirements and GMP’s. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Stage and supply the line with bottles/containers; visually inspect for defects (e.g., poor print, holes, damaged containers, incorrect or missing labels). Assemble shippers/cartons and maintain an adequate supply for packers to support uninterrupted production. Verify product, packaging, and component item numbers against production paperwork; confirm release/quality status before use. Pack product to specification, ensuring containers are clean, coded, and within required weight/quality standards. Confirm shipper counts are accurate and that container and shipper printing/labeling match. Operate/monitor case sealing and line flow to ensure boxes are taped squarely and do not run off or jam at the end of the line. Rotate tasks with other operators at designated intervals to support cross-training and ergonomic best practices. Palletize finished goods, apply pallet tags/labels, and stretch-wrap product to shipping and storage standards. Move finished goods and materials using hand-operated pallet jacks (and powered industrial truck/forklift if trained and authorized). Complete required production and inventory transactions (e.g., counts, labels, scans) accurately and on time using provided systems and forms. Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS, ABILITIES and EDUCATION: Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, and stack cartons of finished product up to 35 lbs (with heavier weights assisted per policy). Ability to move pallets of finished product with hand-operated pallet jacks; forklift/powered industrial truck experience a plus (or willingness to be trained). Basic math and strong attention to detail (counts, weights, codes, labels, and part numbers). Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain pace in a production environment. Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety rules, and GMP requirements. Teamwork and communication skills; ability to work effectively with operators, quality, and supervision. High school diploma or GED preferred; prior manufacturing/packaging/material handling experience preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT: Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand/arm motions throughout the shift. Frequent lifting/carrying and palletizing up to 35 lbs; occasional lifting may be higher with assistance and/or material handling devices per policy. Ability to push/pull loaded pallet jacks and maneuver pallets in production and warehouse areas. Visual acuity to read labels/codes and inspect product for defects; ability to distinguish packaging/label variations. WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE Work is performed in a manufacturing/packaging environment with moving equipment, noise, and temperature variation.
