Job Description Material Handler/Forklift Driver Norcross, GA Compensation Includes Starting Pay Rate of $19.15/hour Additional $1/hr shift differential for 3rd shift Available Shift 3rd Overview The Material Handler/Forklift Driver is responsible for safely transporting raw materials, finished goods, and packaging throughout the facility to support production and shipping operations. This role operates forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, stage, and move inventory while maintaining accuracy and adhering to all safety, quality, and company procedures. The Material Handler/Forklift Driver performs routine equipment inspections, maintains accurate inventory records, and works collaboratively with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery of materials. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to transport raw materials, finished products, and supplies throughout the facility Load and unload trucks while verifying quantities and inspecting materials for damage Deliver materials to production lines in a timely manner to support uninterrupted operations Remove finished goods from production areas and transport them to designated warehouses or shipping locations Accurately receive, store, stage, and issue materials using inventory management systems, barcode scanners, or RF devices Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report equipment defects or maintenance needs promptly Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and forklift operating procedures while using required personal protective equipment (PPE) Keep warehouse and production areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards Properly identify, label, and store materials according to company standards Collaborate with production, shipping, receiving, and quality teams to ensure efficient material flow Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor Assist with shipping, receiving, packaging, and other warehouse duties as assigned Meet productivity, quality, and attendance expectations while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and teamwork Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Minimum of 1 year experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred Previous experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, or inventory control is preferred Ability to safely operator forklifts and other powered industrial equipment Proven ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail with a focus on product quality and damage prevention Basic math and computer skills, including experience in warehouse management (WMS) or RF scanners preferred Ability to follow wr…
