Material Handler
Maco PkgLocation: Newark, NY, 14513 Company: Maco PKG Employment Type: Full-Time | Hourly, Non-Exempt Schedule: Mon–Thurs, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM Position Summary Maco PKG is seeking a dependable Material Handler to support our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for safely moving raw materials, supplies, packaging components, and finished goods throughout the facility using a forklift and other material-handling equipment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Move materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated areas throughout the manufacturing facility. Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. Supply production areas with materials needed to maintain operations. Move completed product from production areas to designated storage or staging locations. Load, unload, stage, and organize materials as required. Follow proper material identification, handling, storage, and packing procedures. Maintain clean and organized work and storage areas. Follow all safety, GMP, food-safety, and company procedures. Assist with other material-handling and production-support duties as assigned. Experience with inventory control and physical counts. Ability to operate a barcode scanner (SAP knowledge preferred). Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred. Experience operating material-handling equipment preferred. Forklift experience/certification preferred; training may be provided based on Maco's requirements. Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Ability to regularly bend, reach, twist, turn, stand, and walk. Ability to work in areas where temperatures may vary based on outside conditions. Training Employees receive applicable training in areas including OSHA/safety awareness, Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, PPE, emergency procedures, GMPs, and food safety.
