Material Handler

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and organization of materials within the warehouse. Your energetic approach will ensure smooth operations, timely order fulfillment, and safe handling of heavy equipment. Responsibilities Receive shipments, check for damages, and sort stock for distribution. Keep records of invoices sent and received. Monitor shelves and fill them when in need. Be aware of the movement of product within the facility. Place orders with suppliers as instructed. Maintain relations with suppliers and manage any shipping issues or delays. Observe all health and safety standards and participate in maintaining a safe working environment. Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment. Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking. Operate winches and other loading devices to load and unload materials onto and off trucks. Maintains inventory by identifying, labelling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory and reporting shortages. Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs. Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items. Qualifications Mechanical knowledge or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or clamp trucks required Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and order picking processes Construction experience or familiarity with load & unload operations is advantageous Valid certification for forklift operation or crane operation is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided for qualified candidates Join us in a role that keeps operations moving smoothly!
