Material Handler

Job Summary: The Material Handler role may work in the shipping or receiving department processing inbound and outbound product. This position will be trained in all areas of the warehouse and will report to the Shift Supervisor. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm (40-45 hours/week. Hours will flex depending on workload) Duties/Responsibilities: Unload deliveries from truck Move and stock inventory to the correct shelving location Fulfill orders, pack orders, and load trucks for outbound orders Pull and process orders accurately and timely Restock incoming items Check all incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy Operate various machinery as needed including forklift and material mover Maintain a clean and organized workspace Ability to listen, understand and follow directions Desired Qualifications/Skills : Completion of background check and drug screening 1 – 2 years of warehouse experience preferred Experience operating a forklift or cherry picker a plus Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; can multitask effectively and efficiently Team player with customer service orientation Good communication skills Good organizational skills and attention to detail Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures High school diploma or equivalent Physical Requirements: Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require 8-10 hours of lifting, standing, and carrying Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time without assistance Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Employee discount Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Experience: Warehouse: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: Driver's License (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Birmingham, AL 35211 (Required) Work Location: In person
