Material Handler Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and handling of materials within our warehouse or distribution center. The ideal candidate will ensure that materials are handled safely and accurately, supporting overall warehouse operations and inventory management. Duties Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners to move and organize inventory Perform manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting, to load, unload, and transport materials Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and documentation procedures Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members Assist with warehouse operations including sorting, stacking, and organizing materials Use basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities of items Support inventory management activities by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies Ensure all materials are stored securely and in compliance with safety standards Skills Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique Basic math skills for inventory counting and measurements Strong adherence to safety protocols and procedures in a warehouse setting Good organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and heavy lifting as required Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management systems This role is essential for maintaining smooth warehouse operations and ensuring the safe handling of materials.
