Material Handler
UNIPHASE, INC.THIS POSITION IS BASED OUT OF OUR 24/7 FACILITY THAT RUNS TWO 12 HOUR SHIFTS (5:30AM-6PM AND 6PM-5:30AM). WE HAVE BOTH SHIFTS AVAILABLE. SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining production by distribution of product, and pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished product; relaying on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of this job. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory on Production Floor. Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies. Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units. Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity; returning materials to stock. Maintains material-handling equipment by completing receiving inspections; identifying any deficiencies to supervisor. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Manufacturing Software- IQMS, Outlook Other skills required: 2 years' experience preferred. Previous Experience preferred. Promotes a Safe Work Environment. Strong attention to detail. Maintain good standards of cleanliness/tidiness. Self-starter Basic math skills. Read and write in English. Good communication skills.
