Responsibilities
• Handle materials and products in a safe, organized, and efficient manner throughout the warehouse.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments using equipment such as pallet wrappers and SDCB as required.
• Move parts and materials, including items weighing up to 50 lbs, multiple times per day.
• Stack, store, and organize products in designated warehouse locations to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
• Update and maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system.
• Operate a sit-down forklift for a portion of the day (typically between 20% and 60%, never 100%), following all safety protocols.
• Pick parts according to work orders using the required technology and systems.
• Pre-kit jobs and projects based on the production schedule, including panels, sheet metal, fans, electrical components, and other parts.
• Refill flow racks and blue bins on the production floor to ensure assembly team members have the materials they need.
• Work closely with the Production Supervisor and production team to ensure upcoming projects are properly prepared and staged.
• Focus on accurate picking, replenishing, and putting away small boxes, small quantities, and small parts, including manual filling of small blue bins inside the warehouse.
• Work at heights using ladders or lifts when needed to access materials stored above floor level.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work area.
• Communicate clearly with team members, sharing information about inventory, orders, and any issues that may affect production.
Essential Skills
• At least 2 years of recent warehouse experience, including order picking or operating a sit-down forklift.
• Forklift certification (forklift CERT) with at least 1 year of recent sit-down forklift operating experience.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs multiple times per day.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a large facility.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and previous experience working with an ERP system.
• Ability to work at heights using ladders or lifts when required.
• Comfort and experience with forklift operation and maintaining valid forklift certification.
• Attention to detail and accuracy when counting, picking, and replenishing inventory.
• Reliability and consistency in following warehouse procedures and safety guidelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Direct material handling experience in a similar industry.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift certification specifically on sit-down equipment.
• Pallet jack operating experience.
• Great attitude and a positive, team-focused mindset.
• Eagerness to learn new processes and take on new responsibilities.
• Willingness to share opinions and provide constructive feedback to the team.
• Flexibility to assist with other tasks or support different departments when needed.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks to support production schedules.
