Job Description Job Title Material Handler/Cashier Company American Made General Store Reports to Store Manager Location 1606 Chicory Road, Rogersville MO FLSA Status Non-Exempt Essential Duties and Responsibilities Load and unload trucks using a forklift. Must be Flexible in hours worked including Saturday's. Closed on Sunday. Check customers out at register. Carrying, loading, and unloading big and bulky items between staging area, storage area, and trailers Stocking store with merchandise as directed by Store Manager. Greet all customers entering the store SUPERVISORY None. COMPETENCIES To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Prior experience working in home improvement stores is a plus. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and of the employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. COMPUTER SKILLS None. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Forklift certified or verifiable prior forklift experience.
