Overview We are seeking energetic and reliable Material Handler to join our manufacturing facility. This role offers the opportunity to work in an environment where you will loads, unload, and move raw, work in progress, and finished material throughout the plant, yard, or work site. In partnership with plant management and shipping leadership, you will manage and maintain inventory of parts and products. Materials may be transported by box truck, stake truck, or pickup truck to costumers or between buildings. Starting Pay Range: $18-22/hr Responsibilities Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. Put away and catalog inventory Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Inspect all shipments prior to transport per the customer specifications Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area. Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet. Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers. Stacks or assembles materials to prepare for shipping. Lifts heavy objects by hand or with equipment, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist production. Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products. Regular full-time attendance. Qualifications Must have valid drivers license Prior factory or manufacturing experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn on the job is essential Ability to operate a forklift safely (certification preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided) Mechanical aptitude with basic understanding of hand tools, power tools, assembly, counting, and quality check techniques Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety consciousness Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift Join our team to be part of a vibrant manufacturing environment where your efforts directly contribute to creating top-quality metal products!
