Material Handler
Puretek CorporationAbout the Role: The Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials within the warehouse and production environments. This position is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, supporting the overall supply chain operations. The Material Handler ensures that all materials are handled safely and in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. By maintaining organized inventory and timely order fulfillment, this role directly contributes to minimizing downtime on the assembly line and meeting customer delivery expectations. The successful candidate will be a key team member who supports operational excellence through attention to detail and proactive communication. Minimum Qualifications: Previous experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, Inventory Specialist, or similar position in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated ability to safely operate a forklift. Ability to safely maneuver a forklift in tight and space-constrained areas. Strong understanding of inventory control principles. Working knowledge of lot numbers and material traceability. Experience performing inventory counts and reconciling physical inventory against system records. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to identify inventory discrepancies and investigate the cause. Ability to accurately document material movements and transactions. Basic computer skills and ability to learn/use an inventory management or ERP system. Ability to communicate effectively with Warehouse, Production, Quality, and Operations personnel. Ability to lift and move materials within the requirements of the position. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. Experience working with raw materials, chemicals, packaging components, or finished products. Experience with an ERP/WMS inventory system. Previous experience performing cycle counts and daily inventory reconciliation. Experience with FIFO/FEFO and lot-controlled inventory systems. Previous forklift certification/training. Experience working in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, personal care, or similar manufacturing environments. Responsibilities: Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks to move materials safely and efficiently. Perform order picking and packing duties accurately to prepare shipments for delivery. Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and properly store materials in designated locations. Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update records, and manage stock rotation. Assist with assembly line support by delivering required materials in a timely manner to maintain production flow. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Work overtime as needed to meet operational demands and deadlines. Shift information: First shift, 7:30am - 4pm with optional overtime when available.
