Job Summary The Material handler is responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient movement of raw materials, components, work-in-progress inventory, and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production facility. This position supports production operations by ensuring materials are available when needed, maintaining accurate inventory transactions, and assisting with receiving, storage, and shipping activities while adhering to quality and safety standards. Duties Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Label, store, and organize materials in designated areas according to established protocols. Pick and stage materials for production work orders and internal use according to production schedules and traveler requirements. Lead and coordinate monthly cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Participate in annual physical inventory counts, including preparation, execution, and reconciliation. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with 5S or other warehouse best practices. Report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to supervision. Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing materials. Validate shipping documentation for accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with production, purchasing, and supply chain teams to support material flow and on-time order fulfilment. Identify and communicate inventory issues such as shortages, overages, or misplaced stock. Along with maintaining proper inventory records and documentation using Syspro or any other systems used by the company. Remove scrap, waste materials, and empty containers from production areas. Support initiatives for continuous improvement in warehouse layout, inventory control, and material movement processes. Skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer skills and comfort using inventory systems and spreadsheets. Forklift operation certification preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience 3 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, or inventory control. Familiarity with pick and pack order fulfillment is strongly preferred. ERP and barcode scanning experience (e.g., Syspro, SAP) is a plus.
