Material Handler (Cannabis Production) Company: Legacy Extracts Starting Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience Location: Portland/Clackamas, OR In person Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts About the Role Legacy Extracts is hiring a dependable, hands-on Material Handler to support our cannabis extraction and production team. This position focuses on preparing materials, keeping equipment and workspaces clean, and maintaining an organized production environment. Previous cannabis industry experience is not required. We provide training on company procedures and welcome applicants with warehouse, manufacturing, construction, mechanical, food production, or cleaning experience. Responsibilities Sort, weigh, organize, and stage cannabis material for production according to established procedures. Move materials and supplies between designated storage and production areas. Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, containers, and workspaces. Keep materials properly labeled and separated to prevent mix-ups or contamination. Assist with inventory counts and accurate material-handling records. Organize tools, supplies, and consumables so the production team has what it needs. Handle and dispose of production waste according to company procedures. Follow written procedures, wear required protective equipment, and promptly report safety concerns. Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, and production needs to the team. Learn additional production-support duties as training progresses. Qualifications Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Attention to detail when weighing, labeling, cleaning, and recording information. Willingness to perform routine cleaning and repetitive tasks consistently. Ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively with a team. Ability to perform an active role involving standing, bending, and moving materials, with reasonable accommodation. At least 21 years old and a valid OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit before performing duties that require it.
