Material Handler

Position Overview Frontier Refrigeration, LLC is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Material Handler to join our growing team. This position plays an important role in supporting our HVAC and Refrigeration operations by ensuring materials, equipment, and supplies are properly received, tracked, organized, and delivered to job sites in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, take initiative, and have strong communication and organizational skills. This position requires someone who can work independently, manage changing priorities, and help keep daily operations running efficiently. Key Responsibilities Material Receiving & Inventory Management Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and equipment against purchase orders and delivery documentation. Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials, including deliveries, returns, and transfers between job sites. Track materials by project to ensure proper accountability and accurate job-cost allocation. Monitor inventory levels and communicate when materials or supplies need to be replenished. Identify and promptly report shortages, damaged materials, incorrect shipments, and delivery discrepancies. Assist with periodic inventory counts and reconciliation of material records. Warehouse Organization & Maintenance Organize and maintain warehouse materials, tools, equipment, and supplies in designated storage areas. Establish and maintain clearly identified storage areas for project-specific materials and equipment. Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible when needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and storage environment. Assist with the proper handling, storage, and care of company tools and equipment. Material Coordination & Job-Site Support Communicate regularly with project managers, foremen, and office personnel regarding material needs and upcoming project requirements. Coordinate material availability and deliveries to help prevent unnecessary delays in field operations. Pull, stage, load, and deliver materials and equipment to active job sites as needed. Pick up materials and equipment from vendors and supply houses. Document materials delivered to or transferred between job sites, including the associated project. Assist with material returns, exchanges, and the handling of unused materials from completed projects. Proactively communicate potential material shortages or delivery issues before they impact project schedules. General Responsibilities Safely load and unload trucks, deliveries, and company vehicles. Follow all company safety policies and proper material-handling procedures. Maintain professional communication with vendors, field personnel, and office staff. Assist with additional warehouse, delivery, and material-handling duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience in material handling, warehouse operations, construction, or a related field preferred. Familiarity with HVAC, refrigeration, or commercial construction materials is a plus but not required. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with appropriate assistance or equipment for heavier items. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain accurate inventory and material tracking records. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company tracking systems. Ability to communicate effectively with office personnel, field employees, and vendors. Dependable, punctual, and able to manage multiple responsibilities. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take initiative. Willingness to follow company policies and safety procedures.
