FULL-TIME MATERIAL HANDLER - METRO TRUCK GUELPH Metro Truck Group is looking for a dependable, hands-on Material Handler to join our team at our newly expanded Guelph location. In this role, you'll help keep our parts warehouse operating efficiently by receiving deliveries, unloading shipments, picking and preparing orders, organizing inventory, and ensuring heavy truck parts are handled accurately and safely. Main Duties Include (but are not limited to): Prepare and process all outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Responsible for picking and assembling orders, preparing orders for shipment, and loading and unloading trucks Responsible for receiving shipments by signing for incoming shipments, inspecting products, and ensuring proper and accurate paperwork is maintained Receive and inspect all incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage Verify shipment contents against packing lists and purchase orders Receive, unload, sort orders and inter-company transfers accurately and in a timely manner Marking incoming parts and stocking them in the stockroom Perform a daily update as needed, as well as an annual intake of inventory Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently Report any issues or discrepancies to the Parts Manager promptly Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers or vendors Supportively work alongside all department colleagues Accountable to maintain a safe, clean and efficient storage area Must adhere to Metro Truck’s code of conduct and Health & Safety procedures General housekeeping duties All other duties as assigned Qualifications: Previous warehouse, material handling, distribution, or shipping and receiving experience preferred. Dependable and punctual, with a demonstrated commitment to attendance and completing assigned responsibilities.
