Position Summary: At Hi Power Electric, the Material Handler plays a vital role the success of our projects by seamlessly managing the receipt, organization, and delivery of electrical material, tools, and equipment by ensuring our field crews are always well-supplied, our warehouse runs efficiently, and every job is completed to the standard our clients expect. Key Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries of electrical materials, tools, and equipment. Accurately match incoming shipments with purchase orders and delivery tickets. Safely transport and store conduit, wire, panels, fixtures, transformers, and other electrical supplies. Prepare and stage materials for job sites to support field crews. Load and unload company trucks, ensuring materials are secured for safe transport. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard areas. Track material usage and support inventory control with regular cycle counts. Communicate shortages, damaged items, or discrepancies to purchasing or project managers. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely. Follow all Hi Power Electric safety policies and OSHA guidelines. Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Prior experience in handling construction or electrical materials. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Forklift Certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong organizational and time-management skills. Basic computer skills for inventory systems and order tracking. Team player with good communication skills. PPE required at all times. Agility Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly; Working in varying environmental conditions inside/outside the warehouse (heated, cold, dusty). Frequent loading and unloading of delivery trucks and vans. Prolonged standing and walking throughout warehouse during full shifts. Frequent bending, squatting, and crouching to access low shelving and floor-level materials. Ability to move quickly and efficiently across a large warehouse floor. Operating a forklift if certified. Ability to sort, count, and organize small electrical components accurately. Fine motor skills for labeling, scanning, and pulling inventory items. Hand-eye coordination when handling fragile or sensitive electrical materials. Navigating a busy warehouse environment safely with situational awareness. Working Environment: Warehouse, yard, and job site settings.
