Material Handler
Symmco Inc.Job Summary Material handling of product for the back and front end of the plant as assigned to ensure maximum production quantity and quality and safety standards while supporting the policies, goals and objective of the company. Minimum Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: 1-3 years experience in manufacturing preferred Required Skills: Must have valid fork lift license Works well in a team environment Excellent communication skills Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instruction Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects Use and understand required equipment Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities outlined below include but are not limited to the following: Other duties may be assigned as needed and/or required. · Report to the Department/Shift Supervisor or Lead Off. · Work within the guidelines of the facilities current Business Management System. · Safe and proper handling and use of all chemicals used for manufacturing. · Must wear mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times where required. · Operate forklift in a safe manner · Load and unload company truck and commercial trucks as necessary. · Weigh count all incoming product from vendors. · Use a weigh scale to weigh count all incoming and outgoing product. · Complete any required paperwork neatly and accurately. · Move any product handled to the next appropriate operation including incoming material and blends for productions needs. · Fill stock orders daily. · Handle manufactured products properly to not cause damage. · Identify and react to out of control conditions, nonconforming product and safety issues. · Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. · Communicate work information (quality concerns, safety issues, etc.) with others. · Participate in continuous improvement projects as assigned. · Perform other duties as required.
