JOB SUMMARY:
The Material Handler is responsible for safe and efficient movement, storage, loading,
unloading, and staging of raw materials, fabricated components, and finished products
throughout a heavy industrial fabrication facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include but are not limited to:
• Receive, transport, and stage raw materials, fabricated parts, and finished products.

• Supply production work centers with required materials and remove completed work.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and other equipment.
• Move large steel components and fabricated assemblies safely.
• Verify material identification, quantities, and condition before movement.
• Maintains compliance with established safety policies and use of Equipment, including but not limited to policies regarding personal protective equipment, workplace injuries and illnesses, lock out/tag out, etc.
• Completing required safety training.
• Conducting inventory audits through cycle counts
• Continuing education and training.
· Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include but are not limited to:
· Periodically interact with customers for parts, orders, pick-ups, or questions.
· Assisting in assembly or packaging tasks
· Assisting in special projects
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Proactive and self-motivated, with high attention to detail and follow-through.
· Good communication skills
· Ability to read shipping documents and work orders.
· Basic computer skills.
· Good organizational skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma or GED.
· 1-3 years of industrial or warehouse experience.
· Forklift operating experience.
· Inventory control within an ERP system (preferred)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
· Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout shift.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work in industrial environments with noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Limited-climate control to include heat but no A/C. Filtered air and frequent air flow from opening outside doors in the summer.
Heavy industrial fabrication facility requiring PPE including safety glasses, steel-toe boots,
gloves, hearing protection.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38.0 – 42.0 per week
