Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and organization of materials and inventory at our manufacturing facility in Latrobe. Responsibilities Safely load, unload, and transport materials using various heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes in accordance with OSHA safety protocols. Operate RF scanners and other inventory management systems to accurately track stock levels and update records during shipping, receiving, and order picking processes. Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, stacking, and organizing materials within designated storage areas. Assist with order picking by selecting products efficiently using manual methods or order picker equipment to fulfill customer orders accurately. Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by adhering to safety standards and ensuring all materials are stored properly on pallets or racks. Support shipping and receiving activities by loading and unloading trucks, verifying shipment contents against documentation, and preparing items for dispatch. Use basic math skills to count inventory items, measure quantities, and ensure proper load capacities are maintained during material handling. Experience Previous warehouse experience is highly preferred, including familiarity with warehouse operations such as inventory management, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment. Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, or other material handling equipment is essential; certification is a plus. Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely with heavy lifting equipment while following OSHA safety guidelines. Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including order picking, load & unload procedures, and inventory control systems like RF scanners. Prior supervisory experience as a warehouse supervisor or team lead is advantageous but not required; leadership skills are valued for potential growth opportunities. Basic math proficiency for counting stock items and measuring quantities accurately in a fast-paced environment.
