Material Handler

As a Material Handler, you will help ensure that materials, products, and supplies are received, organised, moved, and delivered to the correct areas safely and efficiently. Your daily tasks will include receiving deliveries, sorting materials, moving items around the workplace, preparing materials for orders, and keeping storage and work areas clean and organised. You will work alongside experienced team members who will provide guidance and support while you learn the role. Responsibilities Receive incoming deliveries and assist with unloading materials and supplies. Sort, organise, and place materials in their designated storage areas. Move materials and products to the correct departments or workstations as instructed. Help prepare and distribute materials needed for daily operations. Pick and collect items according to instructions or order lists. Check quantities and labels to help ensure the correct materials are supplied. Pack, label, and prepare materials for storage or delivery. Assist with loading and unloading goods when required, following workplace safety procedures. Keep storage areas, shelves, and workstations clean, tidy, and organised. Help maintain accurate records of materials received, moved, or distributed, with appropriate guidance. Report damaged, missing, or incorrectly labelled materials to a supervisor. Follow instructions when handling and moving materials. Work closely with colleagues to ensure materials are available when needed. Assist with general warehouse and material-handling duties as required. Follow workplace health and safety guidelines at all times. Ask questions and seek assistance whenever additional support or clarification is needed. Skills No previous material-handling experience, specialist qualifications, or technical knowledge is required. All necessary training will be provided , and support will be available to help you learn the duties and become confident in your role.
