Material Handler, 2nd Shift Weekends

Pay: $18.00 to $28.60 per hour Location: Alexandria, Minnesota Schedule: Full-time, Thurs 12:30p-6:30p & Fri-Sun 6:30a-6:30p Who we are Alexandria Industries has been making custom aluminum extrusions since 1966. About the job We are hiring a Material Handler to support our extrusion operations by moving materials, staging aging ovens, and keeping production areas supplied and organized. This role helps ensure aluminum extrusions are processed efficiently and customer orders stay on schedule. The Material Handler works closely with production teams to move material, manage alloy inventory, and support daily manufacturing activities. What a Material Handler does Stage aging ovens, start age cycles, and inspect aluminum extrusions before they enter the ovens. Move materials throughout the extrusion department, including alloy loads, trailers, and production inventory. Receive, organize, and put away alloy material between press operations. Maintain press area consumables such as baskets and spacers and support department organization and housekeeping efforts. Complete production and inventory transactions accurately and support daily production schedules. Required High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills. Basic math skills. Ability to identify safety concerns and work safely around manufacturing equipment. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to stand for most of the shift and perform frequent walking, bending, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Items over 40 pounds require a team lift or crane. Preferred (not required) Manufacturing experience. Experience reading drawings and inspecting parts to specifications. Experience operating material handling or production equipment.
