ECHO Incorporated is looking for a Material Handler I to join our Distribution/Warehouse team. The Material Handler I is responsible for accurately picking, packaging, and shipping customer orders while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. This role supports daily warehouse operations by using RF scanners, material handling equipment, and established warehouse procedures to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Starting Pay: $17.50/hr + $1.00 shift differential = $18.50/hr ECHO'S Benefits Include: 11 paid holidays Extremely affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance PTO (Paid Time Off) 5% 401(k) match Tuition reimbursement Career advancement and growth opportunities Eligible for a $300 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment if all qualifications are satisfied ECHO employees are also eligible for a $300 referral bonus when their referred employee completes 90 days Duties/ Responsibilities: Pick customer orders accurately using an RF scanner. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely. Package, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment. Verify outbound shipments for accuracy and damage. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Assist with inventory, cycle counts, and other warehouse duties as assigned. Support team members and supervisors in meeting daily productivity and operational goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of warehouse or distribution experience. Ability to accurately read and follow customer orders and work instructions. Basic computer skills. Strong attention to detail. Effective communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment preferred. Experience using RF scanners preferred. Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment preferred. Basic inventory control knowledge preferred. Work Schedule and Environment: Overtime and Saturdays may be required during peak business periods. Work is performed in a fast-paced warehouse/distribution environment. Frequent movement throughout the warehouse is required during the shift. Must follow all established warehouse and safety procedures. Physical Requirements: Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach. Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
