Material Handler

Overview As a Material Handler, you’ll keep warehouse operations moving by receiving, storing, and preparing materials for shipment. You’ll use material handling equipment to move products safely, maintain accurate inventory, and support warehouse distribution. Your impact: Accurate, timely material movement helps warehouse teams fulfill orders and gives customers dependable access to the products they need. Responsibilities Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials; verify shipments and organize stock in designated locations. Pick orders using an order picker or RF (radio frequency) scanner, and update inventory records. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, cranes, and other equipment when trained and authorized. Follow safety protocols, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, and use safe manual handling practices. Perform basic math to check quantities, support shipping and receiving, and report inventory discrepancies. Experience Warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse distribution, order picking, inventory management, and materials handling are preferred. Experience operating heavy equipment or material handling equipment is preferred; relevant equipment may include forklifts, cranes, order pickers, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks. Ability to safely handle heavy lifting and load and unload materials while following established safety procedures. Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus, but not required.
