Trade-Wind is looking for a talented and motivated Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, handling, storage, and distribution of raw materials, components, finished products, and other inventory throughout the manufacturing facility. This position supports production and warehouse operations by ensuring materials are available when needed, properly identified and stored, and handled in a manner that prevents damage, loss, and safety hazards. Responsibilities Material Handling & Warehouse Operations Safely load, unload, move, and store raw materials, components, supplies, and finished goods throughout the facility. Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to transport materials between receiving, warehouse, production, and shipping areas. Pull and distribute materials for production according to work needs, orders, schedules, and supervisor instructions. Receive incoming materials and verify quantities, condition, labels, and documentation against receiving paperwork. Assist with loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles. Properly organize and store materials to maximize available warehouse space and maintain accessibility. Move finished products from production areas to designated packaging or shipping locations. Ensure materials are properly secured and protected from damage during movement and storage. Forklift & Equipment Operation Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and applicable safety requirements, immediately report issues. Safely transport steel, fabricated components, pallets, crates, and other materials throughout the facility. Participate in required safety training and maintain required forklift/operator qualifications. Support the company's commitment to OSHA compliance and safe manufacturing practices. Communicate material shortages, damaged materials, or other issues that could affect production schedules. General Responsibilities Maintain professional and respectful communication with coworkers, supervisors, drivers, vendors, and other personnel. Follow established company policies, procedures, and work instructions. Protect company property, equipment, materials, and confidential information. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or material-handling environment required. Minimum 2 year forklift experience required. Experience handling, moving, loading, unloading, and storing warehouse materials. Ability to read and understand work orders, inventory information, labels, and basic shipping/receiving documentation. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, climb, and maneuver around the warehouse and manufacturing facility. Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing/warehouse conditions.
