Material Handler (1st Shift)

Material Handler, 1st Shift Pay: $19.00 to $28.60 per hour Location: Indianapolis, IN Schedule: Full-time, Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:00pm Who we are Alexandria Industries has been making custom aluminum extrusions since 1966. About the job We are hiring a Material Handler to keep our products moving safely, inside and outside the plant. As a Material Handler, you will receive, pack, and ship finished material, working on your own and with a team. Safety and quality come first, and we welcome your ideas to improve how we work. What a Material Handler does Operate forklifts, cranes, and yard trucks safely Receive and inspect incoming material, then stock it and process transfers in our system Pack, wrap, band, and label finished product for shipment Load carriers and complete shipping paperwork Count inventory and resolve any differences Required High school diploma or equivalent Ability to safely operate a forklift and semi-tractor Basic blueprint reading and intermediate math skills Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) Able to lift up to 40 lbs., with team lifts or a crane for anything heavier Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, including heat and cold Preferred (not required) 2+ years of manufacturing experience 2+ years of material handling, shipping, and receiving experience What we offer Free onsite clinic: routine care, labs, and vaccinations at no cost Medical, dental, and vision from day one Save $1,500 or more a year on medical premiums with our wellness program Solarte Health: $0 out-of-pocket for services like imaging, orthopedics, and mental health care for you and your family on our medical plan 401(k) with up to a 3% company match 80 hours of PTO your first year, plus 64 hours of paid holidays 100% tuition reimbursement for job-related classes Alexandria Industries is an equal opportunity employer.
