Material Handler
UCO Industries Inc.Job Positon: Material Handler Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor Hours: 7am-3:30pm Job Summary: The Material Handler receives BOM Sheets from the Shipping Specialists to pull parts from storage locations and place onto carts for production. Duties/Responsibilities: Inspects all parts are in good condition before loading onto carts. Load carts of requested parts in an organized manner for easy processing in production. Open boxes with use of a box cutter, remove excess packaging and ensuring correct number of parts. Weight counting is sometimes required. Follow standard operating procedures for pulling parts including ensuring FIFO flow and communication of lot changes. Handle return of parts from production and obtain replacement parts for production, as well as putting away return parts and documenting all transactions. Transport some parts (LPK bases) as needed to assembly line area and remove empty containers. Periodically (usually at month-end) count parts as directed to confirm system inventory. Baling of clothing from 2nd Chances Donation Center (2 hours per day). Willing to become forklift certified to assist in moving products. Perform other professional duties and training assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor. Qualifications Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Able to work with little supervision. Proficient working with scanners and calculators. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; basic PC skills. Able to read and comprehend word documents. Ability to follow verbal and written direction. Good communication skills. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent. 1-2 years warehouse/production experience (preferred) Forklift certification FLSA: This is an hourly position and is subject to the overtime rate of 1.5 times the base hourly wage for any hours over 40 per week. Position may require work during non-standard hours based on customer requirements or UCO Industries requirements.
