Material Handler

Job Title: Material Handler Location: Raritan, NJ 08869 Job Type: 12-month(s) contract Shift: 7am-3:30pm Pay: $19/hr. without benefits Job Summary: Responsible for material handling activities, including picking and packing internal/external orders, loading and unloading freight, verifying materials against bills of lading or manifests, re-palletizing materials according to department SOPs, and maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area that complies with cGMPs and good housekeeping practices. Key Responsibilities: 30% – Pick/Pack & Receiving: Pick and pack customer and manufacturing orders according to instructions, regulations, and department SOPs. Unload trucks, palletize incoming materials, and store or deliver them to the appropriate area/individual. 20% – Inspection & Documentation: Visually inspect materials for accuracy and condition before signing receipt documentation. Enter receipt information into the applicable computer system, when required. 20% – Shipping: Load freight onto carriers according to shipping manifests and Bills of Lading. 15% – Manufacturing Support: Pick, stage, and deliver components for manufacturing orders based on move requests and/or Transfer Orders (TOs). 10% – Scrap & Returned Goods: Process materials for scrap in accordance with medical and/or hazardous waste regulations. Receive, store, and destroy returned goods according to the Returned Goods Policy. 5% – Other Duties: Perform other work-related activities/duties as assigned. Work Requirements: Able to work in environments as cold as -20°C with appropriate PPE. Able to work in all Distribution areas, including Shipping, Receiving, and Warehousing. Basic PC knowledge required. Basic mathematics skills required. Required & Preferred Qualifications: Required: 1–2 years of related experience in a distribution environment. Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience with SAP and Warehouse Management Systems. Experience operating a forklift, pallet jack, and other material-handling equipment. Experience in a Biotechnology, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Consumer Product Manufacturing environment. Pay: $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Work Location: In person
