Contract Duration
12-month contract with strong potential for extension based on business needs and performance.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Yard Coordinator / Material Coordinator to support production and logistics operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring materials are available when and where they are needed, coordinating inventory activities, and supporting production schedules to meet operational goals.
The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, warehousing, or manufacturing operations and enjoy working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate material movement to support production and operational requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment activities.
• Track material availability and proactively address shortages.
• Support production schedules by ensuring timely delivery of materials to work centers.
• Utilize ERP, MRP, SAP, or other inventory management systems to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Collaborate with operations, logistics, warehouse, and production teams.
• Analyze inventory and material flow data to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and transaction documentation.
• Support daily logistics and material planning activities.
Required Qualifications
• Experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, warehousing, material flow, or manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SAP, ERP, MRP, or other inventory planning systems.
• Manufacturing or distribution environment experience.
• Material planning, inventory control, or production support experience.
• Military experience is welcomed.
• Experience utilizing logistics tracking systems.
Work Schedule
• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Overtime expected
• Typical workweeks often exceed 50 hours based on business demands
• Fully onsite position
Additional Requirements
• Ability to work extended hours as needed.
• Metatarsal safety footwear required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
