Location: Franklin Park, IL Position: Material Coordinator Manager: Supply Chain Manager Hours: Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm, OT as needed Wage: $33.05/HR What you’ll be doing: Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Material Coordinator is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through production scheduling, inventory control, material coordination, and transactional accuracy within IQMS. The role assists in developing, maintaining, and communicating daily production schedules, coordinating material availability, and ensuring inventory records accurately reflect manufacturing activity to support customer requirements and manufacturing priorities. Working closely with Production, Quality, Shipping, Receiving, and Supply Chain personnel, this position serves as the primary owner of inventory accuracy, inventory reconciliation, cycle count activities, material traceability, and inventory control processes. The role supports efficient production execution through effective material management, schedule coordination, inventory oversight, and continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational performance and customer service. Day-to-day responsibilities will include: ERP Support & Training Support daily IQMS transaction processing activities to ensure accurate inventory movements, material transactions, and production-related system entries. Assist employees with inventory transaction requirements, material movement procedures, and system processes to support transactional accuracy and compliance with established procedures. Follow-up with Supply Chain Manager on IQMS training needs, system utilization opportunities, and process improvement initiatives. Maintain system documentation, work instructions, and training materials. Assist with troubleshooting inventory and material transaction issues, escalating system-related concerns as appropriate. Partner with the Production Planner to support ERP process improvements, transactional accuracy, and effective system utilization. Provide transactional support for IQMS-related activities during employee absences, vacations, and business demands. Scheduling, Inventory & Coordination Assist in developing, maintaining, and communicating daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, inventory availability, and manufacturing priorities. · Coordinate schedule changes, production priorities, and work-order sequencing with Production leadership and the Supply Chain Manager. · Create, release, and print job paperwork and labels as required by the production schedule. · Create and maintain new part numbers, inventory items, and related system records within IQMS, Crystal Reports, and other related software in accordance with established procedures. · Assist in the creation, maintenance, verification, and continuous improvement of Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, and related manufacturing master data. · Support data validation activities to ensure BOM accuracy, inventory integrity, and alignment with manufacturing processes. · Coordinate material availability to support scheduled production and communicate shortages, excess inventory, or material-related concerns affecting production plans. · Coordinate cycle count activities for designated inventory groups, including scheduling, execution, variance investigation, corrective actions, and inventory accuracy improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Production Planner. · Partner with the Production Planner to investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy and transactional integrity. · Manage inventory reconciliation activities and support corrective actions to resolve inventory discrepancies affecting raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. · Coordinate inventory status changes, quality holds, material dispositions, and related transactions t…
