Master Scheduler
Aston CarterJob Title: Master Scheduler Job Description Develop, maintain, and analyze schedules for programs, ensuring vertical and horizontal integration across all program tiers. Align schedules with project objectives and resource availability, identify potential bottlenecks, and support the development of mitigation strategies. Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineering, and Supply Chain to gather accurate data and ensure program signals are precisely reflected. Create and deliver timely schedule reports and dashboards to keep Program Managers informed of schedule performance and margin erosion. Develop and maintain scheduling tools and processes using ERP/MRP, SQL, or PowerBI to enhance reporting efficiency and quality. Responsibilities Provide clear priorities to production teams and manage pull signals to reduce lead times and ensure delivery targets are met. Conduct root cause analysis for schedule slips and implement scalable solutions using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles. Essential Skills 8+ years of experience as a Scheduler in a New Space, Aerospace, or other technical industry. Bachelors degree or equivalent years of work experience (12+ years of total work experience). Detailed knowledge of MS Project and JIRA. Ability to read technical documentation and understand complex hardware assembly sequences. Experience with ERP/MRP systems. Basic experience writing SQL queries or building data visualizations (e.g., Power BI). U.S citizenship is required due to program requirements. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in supply chain and materials management. Proficiency with master scheduling and MIS scheduling software. Work Environment The position is based in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment located in Long Beach. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $74.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
