What We Are Looking For Grammer is looking for a Production Scheduler to join our location in Shannon, MS. Production Scheduler’s primary responsibility is to plan and schedule production based on customer requirements, which are provided to us by way of customer releases or shipment, to act as liaison between the customer and the plant, to relay requirements, and ship finished product in an efficient and timely manner. What You Will Be Doing Provides production scheduling planScheduling – production outputManpower – schedules each job with standard manpower by way of press/assemblyDie Changes – schedules mold changes as requiredMaintain inventory levels in order to meet production scheduleWork closely with Customer Service Representatives to prioritize and fulfill customer needsGuides material planning for on hand component inventory to build production to customer needsMonitor inventory adjustments and cycle countsCoordinate forecasts with Production ManagerTrack schedule performance vs. production actualsMonitor customer computer systems for daily changesPrepares and distributes customer releasesParticipates and guides year-end inventory planning and counts Deliverables Customer requirement reports with weekly and monthly informationProduction PerformancePromotes IATF 16949 compliance What You Will Bring Along Associate Degree or Equivalent ExperienceMinimum 2 years production scheduling experience in a similar environmentAutomotive and/or Tier1/Tier 2 manufacturing experienceSignificant experience with MRP and scheduling systems (specifically SAP)Ability to identify urgent or emerging problems, develop alternative corrective actions and engage appropriate colleagues in the timely implementation of corrective actions
