We are hiring a Production Planner/Master Scheduler who's passionate about developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules while ensuring adequate procurement of raw materials. Production Planner/Master Scheduler Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday (7:30am to 4:00pm) Position Type: Direct Hire, full-time Base Pay Rate: $60,000-$95,000/yr. Role Description: The Master Production Scheduler/Production Planner is a full-time, direct hire position that is an on-site role based in Rochester, NY. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to meet customer demand, capacity constraints, and inventory targets. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with operations, procurement, and logistics teams, analyzing production data and forecasts, and adjusting plans to resolve bottlenecks or disruptions. The Production Planner will monitor inventory levels, manage material availability, and ensure alignment between demand planning and shop floor execution. The role also involves preparing reports, communicating schedule changes to stakeholders, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to efficient, cost-effective production performance. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Production Schedules and Production Planning to develop, manage, and optimize manufacturing plans. Must be able to read and interpret engineering blueprints with a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, required. Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to evaluate data, forecasts, capacity, and performance metrics for decision-making. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clearly convey schedule requirements and changes. Candidates should possess Inventory Control skills to manage material availability, monitor stock levels, and support demand and supply balance. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Epicor or similar ERP/MRP systems, and production planning software. Relevant experience in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain planning is preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Work Setting & Environment: This is an on-site role in a precision machining manufacturing production environment. The employee routinely collaborates on the production floor and is responsible for maintaining and optimizing production schedules to meet customers' demand. The role may require wearing site-required personal protective equipment and occasionally moving between workstations and production equipment.
