nd increasing demand for complex, high-precision manufactured components.
The work we do matters. We produce highly engineered and precision-machined components for critical aerospace and defense applications, including munitions, jet engines, aerostructures, and landing gear.
We are currently hiring a Master Scheduler for our recently acquired R&S machining operation located in St. Louis, Missouri.
How You Will Make a Difference
As Master Scheduler, you will own the plant’s master production schedule, translating customer demand into achievable production plans that align CNC capacity, labor, materials, and delivery commitments. You will coordinate across Operations, Programming/Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, and customer-facing teams to resolve constraints and improve on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Master Production Scheduling & Execution
• Develop and maintain the master production schedule, aligning customer orders, promised delivery dates, material availability, and manufacturing capacity.
• Sequence and release work orders through machining, outside processing, inspection, and shipping.
• Monitor work-in-process (WIP), critical operations, and shop-floor progress; adjust schedules to address delays, expedite requests, and changing priorities.
Capacity Planning & Cross-Functional Coordination
• Work with Production leaders to evaluate machine loading, labor, setups, shift coverage, and bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with Programming/Engineering to validate routings, cycle times, and readiness of programs, tooling, fixtures, and new jobs.
• Partner with Purchasing and outside processors to address material shortages and supplier lead-time risks.
• Coordinate with Quality on first article inspections, holds, rework, and inspection capacity.
• Communicate production priorities, schedule changes, and delivery risks to operations and plant leadership.
Delivery Performance, Data & Continuous Improvement
• Identify orders at risk of missing committed dates and coordinate realistic recovery plans.
• Maintain accurate work-order status, routings, and scheduling information in the ERP/MRP system.
• Monitor on-time delivery, schedule adherence, backlog, WIP, and capacity constraints; report trends and exceptions.
• Identify recurring bottlenecks and improve scheduling processes, lead-time assumptions, and delivery reliability.
