Job Summary The Machine and Graphic Trial Order (MTO/GTO) groups, are primarily responsible for the generation of production-quality folding paperboard carton samples that are used by our end-use customers for marketing, proof-of-design, and equipment set-up purposes. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The Master Planner/Scheduler work focuses on scheduling production, processing, assembly, and packaging activities including: Scheduling the tools, materials, and equipment needed for the production process. Scheduling available resources and required processing internally and externally. Implementing scheduling changes due to backlogs, design changes, machine downtime and/or material/labor shortages. Actively monitor, maintain, and control work schedule and back-log for Trial Order facility (including quotes) Utilize the ArtiosCAD design system for evaluation carton and tooling design Complete MTO/GTO projects while fully coordinating with customer, sales, customer service, manufacturing design, and carton converting groups as required for on time delivery of product Manage production materials (e.g. board, tooling, cello, coating, glue, etc.) Manage Third party vendors for outsourced production Manage revenue reporting and ensure orders are invoiced Run and distribute reports and communication and all levels of the organization Understand and effectively apply test procedures for validating performance of packages and features under development. Function as an effective global leader and focal point for MTO/GTO related details and general communication. Produce materials to support the communication process when required. Act as the back-up Supervisor for the MTO/GTO team Identify, develop, and lead department-wide continuous improvement initiatives Search out and implement cost saving initiatives Safe Quality Food Responsibilities Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods. Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures. Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required. Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF). Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation Education & Experience BA or equivalent + 3 yrs related experience, or MA + 1 yr related experience Disclaimer The candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
