The MP Materials role will play a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of materials to Clients manufacturer partners, enabling the delivery of compute, storage, and AI racks to data centers and warehouses. You will be responsible for managing the flow of materials, optimizing supply chain processes, and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Materials Procurement & Logistics:
Coordinate with ODMs, client stakeholders, and vendors to manage procurement, logistics, and readiness for the full BOM across programs (including L6/L10/L11 materials)
Place purchase orders (POs) to ODMs as directed.
2. Materials Planning & MRP Execution
Collaborate with ODMs and supply/demand planning teams to maintain accurate subcomponent supply data.
Ensure on-time delivery of components and commodities against client’s forecast and risk/buy requirements to support Clear To Build (CTB) status.
Drive MRP readiness and compliance to forecasts and purchase orders.
3. Risk Management & Mitigation
Proactively identify, report, and help mitigate material risks (shortages, supply chain disruptions, etc.).
Engage with commodity vendors for client-managed materials and support on-site supplier execution to achieve on-time delivery.
4. Supplier & Partner Management
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal cross-functional stakeholders, ODM partners, and suppliers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Manage and report supplier manufacturing schedules and capacities.
5. Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze and interpret demand/supply and MRP reports to inform material planning and procurement decisions.
Assist in developing and tracking KPIs for material planning, PO placement, PO coverage, and supply chain optimization.
Collaborate with inventory leads to ensure optimal stock levels at ODMs and 3PLs.
6. Material Allocation Support
Partner with internal and external teams to support material allocation decisions that maximize rack supply to client.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in procurement, operations, or supply chain management, preferably in the technology industry.
Ability to dive deep into complex data sets, distill key findings, and inform strategic decisions that drive business outcomes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to changing business needs and prioritize workload to focus on dynamic business objectives.
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience establishing working relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and partners across different time zones.
Preferred qualifications
Previous exposure to, computer manufacturing, production, and configuration.
An ability to rapidly understand the terminology, and configuration components, within the hardware domain
Experience interfacing with internal & external partners in an entrepreneurial and cross-functional environment, requiring a latitude for independent judgment while coordinating people and technical resources.
