Marine Diesel Technician

Position: Marine Diesel Technician Company: Advanced Marine Diesel Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour (DOE) + Overtime available + End-of-Year Bonus Potential Job Type: Full-Time | In-Person (Greater Tidewater area or willing to relocate) About the Role Advanced Marine Diesel is seeking a skilled Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and service high-performance marine diesel engines on large sport fishing yachts. We need a hands-on problem solver who can take a customer complaint, identify the root cause, and execute the repair efficiently. Key Responsibilities Translate customer complaints into accurate root-cause diagnoses and complete mechanical repairs. Perform routine maintenance, general system adjustments, and full service/overhauls. Work on engine systems, transmissions, and generators in tight marine compartments. Travel: Includes frequent regional day trips as well as 50% out-of-town travel , especially during peak tournament and boating seasons. Engine Focus MAN Yanmar Scania Cummins Qualifications & Requirements Proven experience as a skilled diesel technician with demonstrated diagnostic capability on diesel systems, two years preferred. Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record ( must submit a copy of your motor vehicle record ). Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver through tight vessel spaces. Excellent customer interaction skills and professional representation of the company on-site.
