Marine Diesel Mechanic

Job Overview Point Judith Marina is seeking an experienced Marine Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, a strong team player , and skilled in diagnosing and repairing marine diesel engines and related systems. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair marine diesel engines and generators. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, rebuilds, and overhauls. Inspect and service cooling, exhaust, fuel, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Disassemble, repair, and reinstall engine components. Use technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic equipment. Test equipment following repairs to ensure proper operation. Communicate repair needs and recommendations Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Qualifications Marine diesel mechanic experience preferred Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills Knowledge of marine engines and related systems Ability to read technical manuals and schematics Computer savvy and ability to use computers and diagnostic software Strong communication and teamwork skills High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
