Manufacturing Warehouse Associate (CDL-A Required) - Day Shift (3-5 years experience)

Detroit Forming, Inc. is a manufacturer of plastic packaging for the food industry. We are seeking individuals to work in our shipping and receiving department. This is a direct hire position (no staffing agencies involved). This position has room for advancement, and pay range is dependent upon experience. About the Company Founded in 1962 in Detroit, DFI is a privately held, debt-free, midsized manufacturer that has not had a layoff in its history. We have six manufacturing locations in five states. Job Description: Operate forklift daily (will certify and/or recertify upon hire) Load and unload truckloads of palletized raw material and finished goods Check inventory regularly and work closely with front office to resolve discrepancies Run product transfer loads between our two plants and one off-site warehouse in Southfield and Livonia, MI. Shift available: Day shift (7 a.m.-5 p.m.) Monday-Friday, with occasional required overtime on Saturdays. Qualifications: CDL Class A (manual transmission truck) required 3-5 years shipping and receiving experience required Strong math skills Good attendance record Strong organizational skills, works well independently and under time constraints Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs Must be able to work overtime on Saturdays as required Benefits: Eligible for overtime pay after 40 hours (typical weekly hours between 40-45).
