Manufacturing Support Specialist

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Support person to join our team and contribute to our production processes. This role involves managing parts purchasing, overseeing inventory control, and utilizing computer systems to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working collaboratively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are a small 10-person company with a very friendly environment in a quiet, clean, modern factory. We are small enough to be flexible and receptive to your ideas on improvements. Duties Manage parts purchasing to ensure timely availability of materials necessary for manufacturing processes Oversee inventory control, including tracking stock levels and coordinating replenishments to prevent shortages or excesses Utilize company database and computer systems for data entry, tracking, and reporting related to inventory and procurement activities Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for process improvement and support ongoing lean initiatives Maintain accurate records of parts, inventory movements, and procurement activities Support daily manufacturing operations by providing administrative assistance as needed Assist in implementing and maintaining lean manufacturing practices to optimize production efficiency Skills Proficiency in computer skills, including familiarity with databases. (ERP systems) Basic knowledge of parts purchasing processes and inventory control procedures Organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and data entry Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a manufacturing setting Understanding of lean manufacturing in a manufacturing environment.
