Come Join the Winning Team! Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is currently hiring for a full-time Manufacturing Scheduler/Expediter to work out of our Waggaman, LA location. The Manufacturing Scheduler/Expediter is responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and expediting production activities to ensure customer orders are completed on time and in accordance with company quality standards. This role serves as a key liaison between Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, and Operations to coordinate resources, resolve scheduling conflicts, and remove obstacles that may impact delivery commitments. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, project management experience, and/or previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Essential Duties: Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer requirements, material availability, labor capacity, and equipment utilization. Monitor workflow and production progress to ensure schedules are achieved and delivery commitments are met. Expedite materials, components, and work orders throughout the manufacturing process to eliminate delays and bottlenecks. Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure timely receipt of materials and address supply chain issues impacting production. Work closely with Production Supervisors and department leaders to balance workloads and optimize manufacturing efficiency. Provide schedule updates and communicate production priorities to relevant stakeholders. Analyze production capacity, labor availability, and material requirements when planning schedules. Identify potential risks to delivery timelines and develop corrective action plans. Track and report key production metrics, including schedule adherence, lead times, and on-time delivery performance. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to resolve issues affecting production flow. Ideal Candidate: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. Project management experience coordinating multiple projects, schedules, and deadlines. Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Required High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, scheduling, planning, production control, or expediting. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
