Manufacturing Production Planner
Maverick TechAbout the Role As a Manufacturing Production Planner, you will serve as a critical link between engineering, sales, and the shop floor to ensure seamless production workflows. You will leverage your expertise in SAP and MRP systems to optimize cost accuracy, maintain master data, and drive efficient scheduling for complex high-tech components. Responsibilities Develop and refine cost estimates and master data within SAP to ensure precise material requirements and routing accuracy. Analyze capacity and material availability to confirm sales orders and provide reliable lead times to stakeholders. Collaborate with production leadership to establish priorities, resolve scheduling conflicts, and monitor exception messages. Coordinate with external subcontractors and suppliers to secure quotes and manage outsourced processes effectively. Support shop floor operations by managing tooling, fixturing, and CNC/CMM documentation requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization and cost reduction. Maintain rigorous compliance with ISO/AS9100 standards and ITAR/EAR export regulations. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing estimating and production planning. Proficiency in SAP (PP/MM modules) and general MRP system functionality. Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, including GD&T and ASME/ISO standards. Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and process documentation. U.S. person status required to comply with ITAR export-controlled information regulations. Preferred Skills Associate degree or technical certification in machine technology or related field. Direct experience with machining processes such as milling, turning, and drilling. Familiarity with high-performance materials like tungsten or molybdenum. Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite for data analysis and reporting.
