Metal Arts Machine Co., LLCMfg. Planner Job Description Position Summary The Mfg. Planner is responsible for performing the job duties listed below. The employee may be assigned to system level processes or specific customer related assignments. The skills of the employee must be of the highest caliber and on a level consistent with those employees doing similar work employed at similar operations. Productivity, efficiency, and minimal waste are critical elements of daily operational work for this position. The right candidates for this position will be problem solvers, adaptable, driven to achieve quality results and focused on continuous improvement. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Support quotation activities by gathering and analyzing information related to manufacturing processes, raw materials, hardware, and special processing requirements. Download, organize, and maintain customer-supplied engineering documentation and technical data packages in accordance with company document control procedures. Review and log Model-Based Definition (MBD) and Digital Product Definition (DPD) files to ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal processes. Create and send Requests for Assistance to Customers to clarify part engineering to aide in manufacturing of their products. Develop, review, and maintain detailed work plans, job templates, including material specifications, hardware requirements, machining operations, inspection criteria, and assembly instructions. Ensures work plans, job templates, and products meet customer specifications by reviewing drawings, purchase orders, and quality manuals. Identify any potential quality issues before production begins, and collaborate with various departments to maintain quality standards throughout the production cycle. Identify potential quality risks within manufacturing processes and implement preventative measures. Ability to apply knowledge of machining, aerospace, and continuous improvement principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Work with internal teams and customer representatives to address nonconformances, MRB activities and assist with the development and implementation of appropriate corrective actions. Understand and review company FAIR’s for compliance to AS9102 in Net-Inspect requirements. Education/Experience : High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in quality, industrial engineering, or related field MRP or ERP system experience Preferred to have hands on training in manufacturing setting, preferably Aerospace machine shop environment. Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities: Blueprint reading and interpretation GD&T experience Quality orientated, must understand requirements of AS9100 & AS9102 Strong ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful under pressure Excellent planning, organizational, time management, and personal interfacing skills Good typing skills, high level of proficiency with general office pc applications (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and comfortable with learning new applications as required Proven job diligence, dedication, and attention to detail Comfort and experience interfacing with various levels of staff and management while working in a fast-paced environment Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the public, other employees, and vendors Must be motivated, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
